The Pilot Test of Jiushi Equestrian Arena has achieved successful completion

2022-09-07

On September 7, 2022, the pilot test of the Equestrian Arena was successfully conducted at No. 1350 Laolu Highway. Nearly 30 people attended this pilot test, including the project owner, general contractor, design institute, and expert group of the equestrian arena project.

This pilot test was entrusted to the Shanghai Research Institute of Building Sciences (SRBS), which conducted tests on the following items:

  • Dynamic Wind Load Resistance Performance of Light Frames (stress-strain measurement, displacement measurement)
  • Static Load Resistance Performance of Light Frames (graded loading at 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 100%, and 150% of the standard load of 12.6 kN; stress-strain measurement, displacement measurement)
  • Deformation Test of the lifting Light Frames: During the 1st and 20th opening-closing cycles, record the position changes of the test supports and the ends of the test brackets under three states of the lifting light frames: closed state, opening process, and fully open state.
  • Stress-Strain Test of Supports and Relevant Load-Bearing Lug Plates: During the 1st and 20th opening-closing operations, record the stress-strain data of the supports and relevant load-bearing lug plates, as well as the status and locations of functional defects or damages of the samples.

During this test, experts, the project owner, general contractor, and design team all participated in the observation and testing throughout the entire process. After the test, all parties put forward optimization suggestions and confirmed the feasibility of the lifting light frame plan. The overall design and functionality of the lifting light frame meet the design requirements and relevant specification requirements, and it can be used in the official project.
