Yunhui Tiandi Opening and Closing Roof

The Yunhui Tiandi Opening and closing Roof Project is located on Lanhua Road in Pudong District,Shanghai. Yunhui Tiandi (formerly Lufa Square) will integrate three boutique business formats: commercial, office, and hotel, backed by the Longyang Road hub that connects maglev and rail transit, and is expected to become a landmark quality living commercial complex in the region. In terms of overall design, Yunhui Tiandi revolves around five major architectural features: stacked stones, green surroundings, flowing water, flowing clouds, and gathering places, transforming the entire commercial complex into a humanistic leisure and office space with ecological concept.
Project overview
The highlight of this project is the implementation and production of a movable “dome”, which is designed and delivered by AGAPE. When the weather is cloudy, the dome closes and is used as the ceiling of the inner courtyard. Open on Sunny days, allowing warm sunlights to fill the courtyard. The movable dome runs through the center of the entire building, sweeping sway the heavy oppression of reinforced concrete and bringing a dynamic and lightweight spatial experience!
The equipment mainly includes five parts: mobile part, fixed part, membrane structure, tank door part and guiding mechanism.
When the roof is closed, the tank door is also closed; When opened, the entire rectangular moving area moves along the track towards the east. After moving 26 meters, it will be limited by the limit block and the electronic control system. At this time, the roof is fully opened. After the roof is fully opened, the opening of the tank door can utilize the internal space of the steel structure in the moving area of the equipment, achieving full utilization of the space.
