Curtain Wall Opening system of Shanghai Tower

The Shanghai tower is located in the Lujiazui functional area of Pudong, east to Dongtai Road, south to Liujiazui Ring Road, west to Yincheng Middle Road, and north to Huayuan Shiqiao Road. The building covers an area of over 30000 square meters and its architectural design was completed by the American company Gensler. The main building structure has a height of 580 meters and a total height of 632 meters, making it the tallest building ever built in China.
When the window cleaner of Shanghai Tower works, the building needs to provide a certain opening space so that the arm of the window cleaner can extend to the outside of the building. At the same time, when the window cleaner returns to the interior of the building and is in a non working state, the appearance of the building needs to maintain an integrity. Therefore, we have designed a movable panel opening device.
The Shanghai Tower has nine equipment areas, of which a window washer needs to be placed in the second to eighth areas. When considering the operation of the window cleaning machine, the building needs to provide a certain opening space for the arm of the window cleaning machine to extend to the outside of the builiding. At the same time, when the window cleaning machine returns to the inside of the building and is in a non working state, the exterior of the building needs to maintain integrity. Therefore, a movable panel opening device needs to be installed on the glass curtain wall of the building at the place where the window cleaning machine comes out. When the window cleaning machine needs to work, the opening device will retract the curtain wall into the building and move it to the side. After the window cleaning machine finishes working, , the opening device needs to move the curtain wall to the closing point and restore the original appearance of the building.

The Shanghai Tower is divided into nine equipment areas, of which one window cleaner is placed in the second to eighth areas, The curtain wall opening equipment is located in the window cleaner equipment area to provide access for the work of the window cleaner.
